On Wednesday Eli had two major breakthroughs that I just don't think we are ready for. First he started consistently peeing in the potty by himself. He just goes in there, does his business, washes his hands, and goes back to playing - Mr. Independent.
It turns out he is quite the neat freak too. That afternoon nap time was a struggle - he did not want to take a nap. I work from home - he has to take a nap. So back and forth we were for 2 hours trying to get that nap in. I went into his room for the third time about an hour and a half into our struggle and this is what I saw.
An hour and a half before those blankets were all over the floor in a huge pile - he had folded every single one of them. I didn't know he was capable of that kind of clean. I said, "Eli, mommy is very upset that you are not taking a nap. But, your folding is amazing. I am going to take a picture of all of your hard work, and then you HAVE to go to bed." He never did go to sleep. When John got home we decided we had to get a video of his mad folding skills so we can prove to him he is indeed capable of folding when he is a teenager, enjoy.

Wow! Great Job Eli!!
You should hire him out... i would totally pay him to fold my laundry for me!! :)
Yes, please allow Eli to come to Cincinnati anytime and fold for me. That kid rocks! If he's not going to sleep, what a wonderful thing to occupy his time! :) I am also struggling with losing naptimes since I work at home too. I need those hours!
